The vagina is a tube with a length of approximately 7-9 cm, extending between the urethra and the bladder in the front, and the rectum and the anal canal in the back. However, as it is generally known, the vagina is known as the area in the female body that allows birth or sexual intercourse to take place. Basically, the vagina has a structure that can stretch and expand. This is a biological structure that comes into play in many situations, especially during sexual relations and childbirth. The vagina forms the lower part of the birth canal and is the area where menstrual blood empties. The vagina acts as a passage between the internal and external genitalia. In this respect, it is determinative in terms of reproductive and sexual health, and has a special importance in terms of women’s health.
